John shares Sheehan’s core values of accuracy, attention to detail, and a high level of client service. He is responsible for managing both assurance and tax engagements. John’s areas of expertise include sales tax audits, outsourced accounting services, and the industries of construction, retail, real estate, restaurants, and caterers.

John has spent his entire career at Sheehan, after graduating from St. Joseph's College with a Bachelor's degree and then an MBA in Accounting.

John is a recognized leader in the accounting profession and was selected for the following distinctions:
• AICPA Leadership Academy.
• New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants (NYSSCPA) 40 Under 40.
• Wolters Kluwer CCH's "Emerging Leader" program.

John is a past President of the NYSSCPA - Suffolk Chapter and has been involved with the NYSSCPA his entire career. He currently is the chair of the NYSSCPA Suffolk Chapter’s Cooperation with Educational Institution Committee. John has been featured as a speaker to college accounting societies and participates in the firm's leadership program. John also currently mentors several staff members in the firm.

John enjoys community service and has participated in many community events over the years, including Sheehan's annual Toys for Tots holiday toy collection drive for underprivileged families.
